Quinta Milu is a small personal project of German Blanco in the province of Burgos. German is meticulous in his selection of vineyards sites with old vines and micromanages each cuvee to ensure that the wines are not over powered by the process. The resulting wines have energy and freshness so seldom made in this region. The vines for this wine are over 82 years old, grown at 930 metres on gravel soils. Wild yeasts are used to ferment the wine in amphora pots and aged there for 12 months. The grapes are hand harvested, he doesn't filter and uses very low SO2 additions at bottling. These are very elegant wines with great energy.
