A cool climate Chardonnay with great structural freshness. The vineyards are approximately 11km from the sea and are at 200-350m elevation. Malolactic fermentation is blocked after 20% of the must has fermented to retain the structural freshness of the wine. It is then aged for 8 months in Burgundian oak ,30% of which is new. The wood impression is integrated and balanced and adds a vanilla creaminess to the wine . I was really impressed with the quality/price ratio of this wine.
