Loic is the 13th generation of winemakers in the family going back to the 17th century, taking over from his father Bernard. The estate is following biodynamic practices but is run organically. The Champeaux vineyard is clay and limestone and the vines are in excess of 50years old. the yield in 2014 was 25hl/ha and he used 70% of the bunches with stems. The wine is aged for 12-14 months in oak. 2014 is a vintage I like for the energy and structure.
