Callejuela was founded in 1980 by Francisco Romero Blanco, initially producing musts that were sold to larger wineries in the region. Today, now run by his sons Francisco and Jose, the winery has grown in size and are bottling their own wines and sherries.
Blanco de Hornillos is a white wine made from the palomino fino grape. This incredibly expressive wine shows all that is good about the base wine that is normally used to made sherry. Very dry and refreshing, there is wonderful contrast between the ripe white fruits the wine expresses and the almost salty minerality that is so characteristic on the region.
